State Senate
Currently in Colorado, the Democratic party represents about 65% of the State Senate’s 35 seats. This is good news for our citizens, who appreciate Colorado’s strong economy, support for reproductive rights, and willingness to consider common-sense gun legislation. If we hope to keep it this way, your vote remains crucial. Some facts:
-
Members of the Colorado State Senate are elected to four-year terms, and limited to serving eight consecutive years
-
As nearly as possible, one-half of our senators are elected in each general election
-
Less than a decade ago, Republicans held a chamber in the Legislature and a majority of the U.S. House delegation
The next Colorado Senate election is on November 5, 2024. Learn more here.
