We had a very informative and well attended meeting last Tuesday. Many thanks to our great guest speakers, immigration rights attorney Nancy Elkind and Alejandra Garza from ACLU of Colorado. We also appreciated hearing from Representative-elect Chris Hansen and Representative/Senator-elect Lois Court about what to expect in the upcoming legislative session.

Please see the attached resource list of websites and articles that were discussed. On her Wednesday program, Rachel Maddow featured one of the documents we presented at our meeting - Indivisible: A Practical Guide for Resisting the Trump Agenda. Indivisible was written by former congressional staffers and based on the tactics used by the Tea Party in resisting President Obama's agenda. It is included in the attached list.

We encourage everyone to participate in the Martin Luther King March and Parade and the Women's March on Denver. The MLK Marade is on Monday, January 16. It starts at 9:00 AM in City Park. The Women's March on Denver is on Saturday, January 21 from 9:00 AM to 3 PM and starts at Civic Center Park. See the links on the attached document for more information. We hope to see you at this important events.

Our next House District 6 Meeting is on Tuesday, February 7. Social time is from 6:30-7:00 PM and the meeting is from 7:00 - 8:30 PM.

Best regards,

The Officers of House District 6
