COLORADO SECRETARY OF STATE
The Colorado Secretary of State’s job responsibilities: Manage Colorado’s elections, which includes overseeing voter registration, administering campaign finance laws, registering political lobbyists and corporations, and overseeing charitable giving.
The current Secretary of State, Republican Wayne Williams, who is seeking re-election, sent Colorado’s entire voter file to the White House and its discredited Voter Fraud Commission. Over 3,000 Colorado voters have dis-enrolled due to their concern that their personal information would be used for nefarious purposes.
A Democratic Secretary of State’s key agenda would protect each Coloradan’s constitutional right to vote as well as ensure transparency in campaign finance.

COLORADO STATE TREASURER
The Colorado State Treasurer is responsible for managing the state’s coffers, making investment decisions in the state’s bank account and sitting on boards that affect public pensions, Medicaid and the Colorado University system.
The current Treasurer, Walker Stapleton, has steered our tax dollars toward Wall Street instead of Colorado banks, and has been an absentee official, showing up for work about ten days a month, while avoiding obligations like PERA board meetings.
By electing a Democratic State Treasurer, we can protect our tax dollars from risky Wall Street activity and protect retirees from right-wing attempts to privatize or cut pensions.

COLORADO ATTORNEY GENERAL
Colorado’s Attorney General is the state’s top law enforcement official, responsible for ensuring that Colorado’s laws are being obeyed, while protecting Colorado from harmful policies at the federal level. The Attorney General has wide latitude to pick and choose which legal actions are pursued
The current Attorney General, Republican Cynthia Coffman, has used her office not to protect Coloradans, but to promote right-wing causes and advance her own political career. In 2017, she sued a Colorado county to lift its moratorium on oil and gas development. Drilling could begin as early as 2019.
By electing a Democratic Attorney General, we can protect our civil rights, hold accountable corporations that do wrong by Colorado, and protect our state against harmful intrusions by the federal government on issues like immigration and marijuana legislation.
