The Official Call to the ReOrg meeting has been emailed or mailed to all Central Committee members. If you have not received your Official Call, please contact Megghan Stevens at [email protected].

During February of each odd-numbered year, the DPoD undergoes a reorganization,  in which all elected positions in the county party (with the exception of PCPs, who are elected at caucus) are up ro election/re-election to a 2-year term. This includes the 4 county officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer), the officers of each House sub-district (Captain, Co-Captain, and Finance Chair), and the officers of each House and Senate District (Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary).

In addition, members are elected or appointed to a variety of County-wide committees, as well as the State Executive and State Central committees.

You don’t need to be a PCP or other member of the County Central Committee to run for these positions. You do need to be a registered Democrat in the relevant district or sub-district. You can find your Senate District, House District, and House Sub-district on our precinct finder.

Only members of the Democratic Party of Denver Central Committee can vote at ReOrg.

We currently have 2 candidates for Chair, as well as 1 candidate for each of the other 3 County Officer positions. Anyone else who is interested in running for a County officer position should email a statement of their intent to run, to Anne Murdaugh at [email protected]. For anyone who notifies the Chair at least 21 days before ReOrg (by January 21st) that they intend to run for a County office, the County Party will send out a 1-page statement/flyer (that you provide) about your candidacy when we send the official call to ReOrg. For anyone who notifies the Chair at least 7 days before ReOrg (by Feb 4th), your name will appear as a candidate for County office on the printed ballot. We also accept nominations from the floor during ReOrg.
