Anne Murdaugh is a retired civil rights attorney and Past Chair of the Board of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Colorado. Before retiring, she represented children with disabilities who were denied appropriate public education services, as well as children in the custody of child welfare agencies who were failed by the public institutions charged with caring for them.
Anne moved to Denver with her family in 2007 and jumped into Denver Democratic Party politics during the 2008 Caucus. She has been a PCP since 2008, served as Captain of House District 6B for 3 years, and was elected County Chair in February 2015.
Anne’s goals are to build the Party’s capacity, expand our outreach, strengthen our messaging and elect all our Democratic candidates.
Anne is married, has two grown children, and is a former competitive Irish Stepdancer. When not volunteering for the Denver Dems, she loves hiking, skiing, singing and furthering progressive causes.
